Dr. Fawaz Alenezi is the founder of Healnet Clinic. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Duke University and a cardiologist at Duke Hospital. After his training in internal medicine residency and cardiovascular (CV) fellowship, Dr. Alenezi completed 8 years of extensive multimodality CV training and obtained level III in all CV imaging modalities. His primary goal is to excel as a clinician and educator with research focused on the development and application of multi-modality imaging techniques in cardiovascular and internal medicine diseases. His research is geared towards the imaging of pulmonary hypertension and heart failure. Ultimately, his goal is to benefit patients by expanding and improving multimodality CV imaging for the assessment of patients with cardiovascular diseases. One of his proudest achievements is being awarded the 2023 Duke cardiology teacher of the year. Dr. Alenezi also serves in a variety of roles for the American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology, including contributing to the CV curriculum content for both societies and as an education committee member for the American Society of Echocardiography. The application of his training in multi-modality cardiovascular imaging and clinical research has allowed him to hone the expertise needed to develop the first clinical site in the nation for Xenon MRI lung imaging.
